Rybka was appointed to this phased refurbishment project in January 2007. The first phase addressed the heating requirements of the Trades Workshop. Rybka designed a new decentralised boiler house within the footprint for the Trades Workshop to provide localised heat distribution through modular high efficiency condensing boilers.

Following the successful completion of the first phase, Rybka was appointed to the second phase of the refurbishment in February 2008. This phase involves the installation of new fire alarm systems, lighting and emergency lighting systems, fume and dust extraction, and dedicated painting and decorating booths on a mezzanine level - all designed to improve lecture space and the working environment for students.
